Most pendant necklaces begin with the setting and find a stone to fit it. This citrine necklace begins the other way entirely. The irregular rough citrine came first — selected by our jewellery master for the warmth and depth of its colour, its natural form and its complete refusal to look like anything that could be replicated on a production line. The mirrored silver frame was built around it. Not to contain it. To honour it.
The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that a skilled jeweller makes only rarely — when the stone is extraordinary enough to justify the attention, and the maker skilled enough to give it the setting it deserves.
The Stone: Rough Citrine and Its Remarkable Qualities
Citrine is a variety of quartz whose warm golden-yellow colour comes from traces of iron within the crystal structure — the same element responsible for the colour of topaz and, in greater concentrations, smoky quartz. It is one of the most abundant and most loved gemstones in the world, and in its rough, natural state it reveals a quality that polished citrine rarely shows: the natural prismatic faces of the crystal, the way the colour deepens toward the base and lightens toward the tip, and the particular quality of light that only raw crystal can hold.
Spiritually, citrine is known as the merchant’s stone — long associated with abundance, positivity and the amplification of creative energy. It is one of the few stones in crystal tradition believed to carry only positive energy, requiring no cleansing or clearing. Associated with the solar plexus chakra, it is considered a stone of confidence, clarity and the courage to bring ideas into the world.

The Setting: Mirrored Frame, Diamond-Cut Chain
The rough citrine is held in a minimalist mirrored sterling silver 925 frame — clean, contemporary and entirely in service of the stone above it. The diamond-cut chain is chosen deliberately: its faceted links scatter light in a way a plain chain cannot, creating a warmth and brightness that mirrors the golden tone of the citrine and makes the two feel made for each other.
At 36 mm the pendant has genuine presence on the neckline. This citrine necklace sits on a 42 cm chain (16″) — a versatile length that works open-collared, layered or against a simple neckline. Other lengths are available on request — simply contact us before ordering.
